Artwork & Guidelines

Artwork Guidelines

This guide outlines how to properly set up and submit artwork for your order. Following these guidelines will help streamline the proofing process and ensure the best possible results.

Note: We use different file requirements for UV printed and engraved orders. If your project includes both, we recommend following the engraved artwork guidelines for consistency.

All custom designs will be proofed before production. These guidelines are here to help you speed up that process.

File Formats

Engraved Files

Artwork for engraved clapperboards, labels, tabs, and other items must be submitted in vector format. We prefer CorelDRAW files, but we also accept:

- EPS

- PDF

- SVG

If your artwork isn’t in one of the above formats, we’ll need to redraw it, which may delay production.

Printed Files

Artwork for UV printed clapperboards, labels, tabs, and other items can be supplied in either CorelDRAW or accepted raster formats. Raster files must be print-ready, as they're more difficult to edit. If unsure, you can send logos or images separately, and we’ll assemble the design to your specifications.

Accepted raster formats:

- EPS

- PDF

- PNG (with transparent background)

Document setup for all printed items:

- CMYK colour space

- 3mm bleed on each edge (if edge-to-edge design)

- Artboard dimensions at actual size in millimetres

Additional Requirements

Please include the following with your order:

- All fonts used in OTF or TTF format

- A JPEG preview of the artwork for comparison

This will help us ensure accuracy and speed up the process.

Bleed – Printed Items Only

If your printed design goes to the edge of the board, a 3mm bleed must be added to each side. This ensures no unwanted white borders appear after trimming.

Extend all background colours, images, and patterns to the edge of the bleed area to avoid trimming issues.
